Meet Our Butchers

Bellingen Butchery is one of the oldest butcher shops in Bellingen,  opening its doors in 1903.   Kevin Aitken, the sixth owner, bought the business in 2004 and has taken it from an ordinary shop to an extraordinary butchers.   Kevin has been a butcher for nearly 30 years with experience in retail shops, catering companies and warehouse outlets, including a number of prestigious butcher shops in Wellington, London and Sydney.  When Kevin and his family moved to Bellingen he purchased Bellingen Butchery.    His skills and appreciation for the finer things in life has been the driving force in turning Bellingen Butchery into this highly reputable shop providing only quality products and service.

Kevin has not been alone in this journey, but has been backed up by an exceptional team along the way.  Over the years some have moved on but long serving Paul has been with Bellingen Butchery since the beginning.  Paul is a highly valued and respected member of the team, also having outstanding experience in quality shops in Wellington, London and Sydney.

J, our apprentice, is a local lad and a relatively new member to the team, but is already shaping up to add his own flavour to the experience of shopping at Bellingen Butchery.
